Quick-release toolbox carrier
A rear carrier that drops into the bumper sockets and takes a Packout stack without straps or tools.

What it is
A simple steel platform that drops into two sockets on the rear bumper, next to the counterweight. No tools to fit or remove — lift it off when you don’t need it. Ideally with Milwaukee Packout cleats on the deck, so a Packout stack clicks straight on instead of being strapped down; Systainer or TSTAK variants would serve the other half of the market. I’ve seen exactly one, custom fabricated as a one-off for another owner in the Facebook groups, built strong enough to stand on.
Why I want it
This is the attachment for the problem every rural property owner has. The job is 300 metres from the shed, and the loader carries the material just fine — but the tools ride in your pockets, balance on top of the engine cover, or get a second trip. A toolbox that travels with the machine, on a mount that comes off in two seconds when you want the machine clean, is such an obvious accessory that I assumed it existed. For my machine, it doesn’t.
What exists instead
Closest is an official rear-mounted Avant toolbox at the Danish dealer: lockable, and listed as fitting only the 700 series, at 5,500 DKK ex VAT — 6,875 DKK incl., roughly €920. Two problems: it isn’t offered for my 528, and nearly a thousand euros is far beyond what a steel box on brackets should cost. Avant also sells a toolbox that couples to the quick-attach plate like any other attachment — but that occupies the business end of the machine, which rather defeats the point. Below that, nothing quick-release that I can find — the aftermarket answers are all welded-on or bolt-through: permanent, and in the way the rest of the year.
What it would take
The rear bumper geometry differs between series, so a product would need per-series bracket variants — the same problem every attachment maker already solves. The rack itself is a weekend of fabrication, and Packout mounting plates are an off-the-shelf part. This wants to be simple: a deck, two brackets, a pin. Someone should be selling it for €300, not the €900+ the official box costs.
