Avant 528: dead rev counter, lying gauges, one faulty relay
The rev counter read zero, some warning lamps were dead, and engaging the diff lock made the temperature gauge drop to nothing. One faulty relay was behind all of it.

My 528 will not crank if the aux hydraulics lever has been left on, and my kids leave it on every time they play in the cab. Check that lever before you suspect the battery.

There is no good place for a phone in an Avant cab, and a loader shakes cheap mounts to pieces. I fitted a Quad Lock at the top right of the 528's cab and it has stayed put.
